Winter Solstice Sound Bath: Ke Ala Polohiwa a Kāne

December 21, 2025 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

On the quietest night of the year, we gather at the turning of the season—when darkness pauses, and the Earth exhales. In Hawai‘i, this time is Ho‘oilo, the season of rain, rest, and nourishment. The solstice is also known as Ke Ala Polohiwa a Kāne, the sacred black-shining path of the winter sun—a moment of stillness honored for generations before the first subtle spark of light begins its return.

This immersive sound bath invites you into that stillness. Through resonant singing bowls, shamanic instruments, gongs, breath, and guided rest, we’ll enter the fertile darkness where new beginnings quietly take root. Together we’ll honor the natural cycle of turning inward, softening, and listening to the wisdom that can only emerge when everything becomes profoundly still.

Come rest in the long night, welcome the returning light, and let the tides of sound carry you into a renewed season of clarity, presence, and possibility.
